*Discuss the various character traits that they are to have

* Bring in pictures on the Smart Board

* Write and lable what they recognize and know about the different traits

* Student will complete a story board to map out what traits they display and record

*Then separate students into groups of 3-4

* Have group decided/vote for/ or assign what character trait they will be acting out.

* Have student groups brainstorm ideas on how they will act out the character trait.

* Have student groups get teacher approval once they decide how they will act out the character trait.

* Have student groups create the scenario, assig parts, and rehearse.

* Draw name/vote for/ of assign a student in each group to be the director, and another to be the camera man.

* Students then video their work

* Other student will be documenting this lesson with digital cameras

* Load all of students videos and pictures into Appel Garage Band

* We will then edit and add background music

* The students recordings will be made into pod casts to be shared with other classes



Cross-Curriculum Ideas
Writing: Write a story about a character and his learning to be a good character. Then the students can create a digital version of the story they wrote
Follow-Up
Students could go around campus and video students who display good charater.
