Objective: Talk in Spanish about different meals of the day.

Content: Chapter 3a and 3b vocabulary and grammar used to discuss what people eat and drink for different meals of the day.

Guided practice: Students watch an example video of the teachers talking about their food preferences. They will then get into small groups and brainstorm conversational prompts about meals, as well as possible follow-up responses.

Teacher selects random groups to demonstrate their food conversation in front off the class, thus giving them practice on their speaking prompt.

Students begin filming their final skits.

Once they have their food skits filmed, they will edit in Technology class.

This lesson is a great cross-curricular activity because they practice a foreign language as well as film editing in Tech class.

Once films are completed, we will watch them in class. This will then give students a chance to reflect on their own work, as well as each-other's work. Students will also have the opportunity to practice for listening comprehension as they watch the videos.
