My objective is to have the students learn to browse the web for sites that can teach simple phonic exercises. They will also learn to bookmark these sites for future uses.

As a motivation I will have the students follow step by step procedure to log into the internet, while using a mac myself and displaying the browser address bar.
After assuring all students go into the specific site , I will show them how to add the site to the bookmark bar or in another folder created entitled popular.

The procedure I will have the students follow is to log into the internet and type in a website indicated by me.They will do one or two activities in this site and afterwards we collectively judge the site from 1-5, 5 being the greatest. If the site receives more 3-5 rating then we can bookmark it.

As an evaluation the students will need to go in and out of various sites that were previously bookmarked in the folder or address bar.
Comments
I always want my students to explore and if they make mistakes web browsing, it's important to encourage them to close the site and try again.
Cross-Curriculum Ideas
math, science,reading literature
Follow-Up
The students will be encourage to use the sites to explore phonetic activities that can be used on their own without teacher intervention.
