Digital Wish provides a range of donated curriculum based CD-ROM software for older computer operating systems. These are ideal for libraries and schools that need solid educational history, math, science and arts activities for their library collection and enrichment programs.

The Middle School Science Bundle includes:
  • Elements
  • Electricity and Magnetism
  • Materials
  • MoluCAD: 3D Molucule Simulator

About Elements - This award-winning software brings the chemistry lab to your classroom. An interactive periodic table lets students explore the properties, history, uses, and atomic structure of each element. There are loads of fascinating interactive experiments. The Atomic Structure module introduces young scientists to concepts such as radioactive decay, half-life, isotopes, and atom building. All concepts in the program's massive database are clearly explained with the help of high-quality video clips, animated screens, and color photos. Students will have fun testing their new knowledge of the elements with interactive quizzes in the third module of the program.

  • Explore properties, uses, history, and atomic structure of elements
  • On-screen periodic table
  • Fascinating interactive experiments
  • Huge database of videos, photos, and animations
  • Fun, challenging quizzes in test module. Missed questions are marked for students to review element details

About Electricity and Magnetism - Generate an electric enthusiasm for science with this CD-ROM! Third in an award-winning series, Electricity & Magnetism includes striking graphics, easy-to-understand text, audio, and animation. Students will investigate electricity and magnetism from every angle. In the Theory module, students research charge, current, electricity, and magnetism by topic and sub-topic. A second module investigates electricity in the home, and a third explains how electricity is generated and how it relates to the environment and society

  • Third CD in an award-winning series
  • Investigate theory, electricity in the home, and environmental implications
  • Assessment facility to track student progress
  • Printable worksheets included

About Materials - This massive database lets students explore 150 different kinds of materials. Over 1,000 color photos and 25 minutes of video aid young scientists, as they investigate materials ranging from the metallic to the organic. Using 14 on-screen laboratory experiments, individual research is possible under headings such as occurrence, extraction, production, history, applications and composition. Tutorials lead students through solubility, thermal conductivity, tensile strength and other fascinating tests of specific materials. Interactive quizzes can be taken individually or with competing groups. Special features include an audio/text glossary and a comprehensive index.

    - 150 Kinds of materials investigated

    - Over 1,000 color photos and 25 minutes of video

    - 14 Laboratory experiments

    - Tutorials and quizzes reinforce learning

About MoluCAD: 3D Molecule Simulator - Students can quickly generate molecular models, view them from any perspective, create reaction animations, and save all their data to a disc with MoluCAD. Advanced features include a comprehensive library of molecules and fragments, a built-in periodic table of elements with links to all relevant information, and a simple bonding interface that allows students to assemble and save molecules. Students can "fly" around and into molecular structures with mouse-controlled rotation and will be amazed by high-resolution 3D and 2D graphics. Clear menus and on-line help with tutorials and examples make MoluCAD easy to use for novice chemists.

  • Create molecular models on an easy-to-use interface
  • On-screen periodic table of the elements
  • Rotate models to view from multiple angles
  • Amazing 3D and 2D graphics
  • On-line help offers tutorials and examples
