Donated funds may only be used to purchase technology products from the shopping area of Digital Wish. This ensures that supporters. funds can never be mis-allocated.
To prevent fraudulent claims, Digital Wish does not allow direct access to funding from the online system at www.digitalwish.org. We utilize a "virtual checkbook" that displays the amount donated to schools, but does not connect directly to any donated funds.
When a cash donation is made to a school, Digital Wish uses an offline directory to contact the school directly, ensuring that the person claiming the funds is on staff at the school and authorized to do so. As soon as authorization is received, the funds immediately become available to be used towards classroom technology purchases.
We always ensure that product donations go directly to a designated contact person who is aware that the donated products are coming.
