Great support (must read review)I have this free version and cannot download the pay one because of tech problems (HP touchpad with cm9 ICS) the developer has been working with me for days to try to get it working even though it seems the problem is my devices compatibility with the play store. Free app is awesome! While my Chinese wife was in the hospital giving birth this helped me understand what the doctors and in-law were saying!

Best Chinese dictionaryThe app gets better with every version. Showing the characters in a large clear font with multiple colors makes it easy to understand. Showing the many variations demonstrates how characters are actually being used in daily live.

@Wheel15It seems 200,000 active users disagree! @JK This app is based on the Chinese-English dictionary CC-CEDICT. i.e. all the headwords are in Chinese which means it is optimised for Chinese lookup. English lookup is a secondary feature. If you often look up English words then you might consider the Pro version which includes a paid add-on for the ABC English-Chinese dictionary. This has over 62,000 English words including "vintage", "vintages" and "vintage car"!
