Our school is in desperate need of technology for our students to use. Currently, classrooms do not have projectors, computers, or document cameras. We were lucky enough to get one set of 15 Ipads for the school.
In our classrooms, teachers work on finding lessons and activities that will engage the students. We have a lot of students that have specific needs and learning challenges. Having a document camera in each classroom would allow the teachers to really work through the work with the students. Teachers have resorted to bringing technology from their own homes in for classroom use.
Our computer lab is filled with computers that were previously owned and donated to our school. This lab is the only place teachers can bring their class to have access to computers as a whole.
With the donation of document cameras and/or computers, the opportunities would become endless for our students. These students come to us from all different areas and all different opportunities. Some students have nice homes while others barely have money for food. Technology is something that is not a given for these kids.
