My classroom is full of students who are excited to come to school everyday! Our school has 100% free and reduced lunches and most of the students come from high poverty homes. Therefore, they do not have a great deal of access to technology or the internet at home. Last year, we were able to apply for a grant that allowed us to receive a class set of iPads! The iPads have made learning more exciting and engaging for the students. They are able to do most of their work on iPads instead of using paper and pencil! Currently, I am having to put my iPad under a camera, or use a cord to project images to the board. This causes glares from the light causing it to be difficult for students to see. It also hinders me from being able to monitor the room well. Having an AppleTV will make working with students more effective. I will be able to move around the room and better interact with students by projecting images, lessons, assignments, or videos wirelessly. The students would also be able to project their images or projects which is great for group discussions. Our class would greatly appreciate your donations for an AppleTV and HDMI to VGA cord, which is necessary to connect to the projector. Thank you for your generous donations!
