This is a fundraiser to help our students at Clinton Valley Elementary! Ms. Gersch and I are the two special educators in the building. We work with Special Education students in a Title 1 school. There are students with all different types of needs in our classrooms ranging from Autism, ADHD, Learning Disabilities, etc.
This year, I was lucky enough to be a part of a technology grant. Through this grant I was taught how to be a more effective educator with the use of technology. I was even able to attend the MACUL conference and go to various sessions that prepared me to implement these practices. Even though I learned so many wonderful techniques through this process, I do not have the mobile technology in my classroom to utilize the information.
I am hoping to raise enough money to purchase 4-5 IPads for our Special Education population. Ms. Gersch and I would like to create a cooperative, creative, collaborative, technologically based learning environment for our students. We will use the IPads in centers to promote learning in the areas of Reading, Writing, Mathematics, Social Skills, Speaking Skills, and so much more. Please help us reach this goal!
