The focus of my project, Leaping into Learning, is to provide students with the use of technology to help make learning fun. I would also like to improve student achievement and motivation for learning across all curriculum. Because of my grandmother’s difficulty with literacy and reading, I have made it my life-long goal to help nurture and foster a love of reading and literacy amongst my students; and what better to do it, technology! I believe that using technology, because of its popularity with children, will help foster a love of literacy and reading and also help make the transition to learning to read funnier and easier. I am asking that you assist me in cultivating a love of literacy through the use of technological resources in the form of 5 LeapPad 3 tablets.
