Clay Academy wants to have a Summer Writer's Workshop for all in-coming 4th and 7th grade students with hands-on and technology rich writing experiences. Students will create rockets to learn how life experience can lead to a narrative writing experience; play a game of football/soccer/ or basketball, then stop to critically think what it would be to actually be the ball to write an expository paper. Students will use computers software to create story boards and word processing editing tools to learn how technology can bring all their experiences into the writing world. Snacks and lunch will need to be provided. Computer software is needed, as well as some computers.
