A 21st century skill is equal to 21st century learners. The demand on infusing technology use in the classroom arises, we as teachers need to facilitate learning to meet the increasing demands of information learners. My school has a total of 534 students from Pre-K through sixth grades; each grade level has three classes. We only have one computer lab with 40 computers which is shared among all of the students on a bi-weekly basis. My school does not receive sufficient fund that is why we need your help.
I am requesting to fund our school with 40 Google Chromebooks and one laptop cart which will be shared among third through sixth grade students.
My goal for the school year is to bring the power to my students and teachers. Google Chromebooks will enable students to engage in dynamic classroom which will produce future generations of engineers, information specialist, programmers, etc. Google Chromebooks are beneficial to learning process because students are learning the same way at the same time. Students will have access to various software and programs subscribed by the county. Students will be able to collaborate with their peers and teachers anytime. Teachers will be able to modify lessons and activities to specific student’s needs across the content areas. Moreover, Google Chromebooks will be utilized as an intervention tool to low performing students.
