We are raising funds for the purchase of new cameras, photo printers, and software for our school's new art program elective photography. Located in a low-income rural village, our high school is just now creating an art program. However, with minimal funding, our students' opportunities are limited. I would like to enhance the student's knowledge and skills with DSLR camera technology as well as the advancements in photo editing. The students will also be responsible for creating their own websites to display their work and use for marketing purposes. Students will be educated on how to utilize this skill as a trade by creating their own business cards and pamphlets. Finally, through the usage of hands on activities, students will experience real world concepts in photography, editing, and self-marketing.
