Hello! I am a third grade teacher. My school is in South Los Angeles, and many of our students are faced with difficulties that some of us adults do not experience in our lifetime. However, they still come to school every day with a thirst and desire to learn. My students currently do not have much access to technology so I would love to be able to get a class set of 22 Kindle Fires (plus protective cases) for them. Technology plays such an important role in our lives, and it is a great way to get the students engaged. My students are currently working on animal research papers, and tablets would have been such a great tool for each of them to have access to. Being able to research things on their own is just one of the many benefits that my students would get from having a Kindle Fire. Other benefits would include watching educational videos (i.e. BrainPOPjr.), playing interactive educational games, online assessments, test prep. practice, and much more. By donating, you will ensure that my students will have access to technology whenever they need it. This will not only help the 22 students that I have in my class this year, but countless others who will pass through my class in the future as well.
