In order to be prepared for the 21st Century, my 7th grade STEM students need the requisite technology for data analysis, virtual labs, computer simulations, access to cutting edge research, and enhanced technological instruction for skill building and aptitude in digital literacy.
Our acquisition of this technology will allow for more hands-on student driven projects, and outdoor laboratory work.
These enhanced labs and lessons will be augmented with more relevant and rigorous instructional methods that will be much more prescriptive and encompassing for all levels of learners.

Why I Teach: I deem it important to allow young people to have a hands-on experience in STEM and gain a fundamental understanding of how the phenomena of the universe works that is the beauty of their world that surrounds them. My hope is that more young people will choose and be prepared for careers in STEM related fields after their experience in my 7th grade classroom.
