I teach groups of children who are reading challenged. They have learning disabilities that have prevented them from finding a joy in reading. Throughout their school years, they have been challenged by Reading and have never developed a desire to read for pleasure. I am signing them up for an audible book service but many do not have access to the technology necessary to use the service. I would like to have some iPads or Chrome books available for them so that they can access their audio books here at school during their independent reading time. Exposure to audio books will enable them to read what their peers are reading, without the challenge of not being able to read on grade level.
