Poetry Slam

Students will study poetry, create their own poem, then perform their poem in front of their peers. They are required to read and perform with expression, using verbal and non-verbal techniques that we will study in class. A digital volunteer would share his/her experiences in the world of poetry performance, answer questions students have about performance and writing, and would give tips about writing and performing quality poetry with honesty and expression.
