Best mobile Japanese learning appI've tried learning Japanese multiple times only to give up quickly, but this app makes it easy and enjoyable to learn Japanese. The lessons are written well and everything is explained perfectly. A great intro to the language and well worth paying for the full version (Which I will do as soon as I'm not so poor D:)

Really enjoyable.I was intimidated at first. A whole new language, and one so different from my own! It was a week before I opened HJL. Within 4 hours of study over two days, I had learned to to read and write all the hirigana, and was moving on to the finer points. It's great learning at your own pace. What helps, I think, is that it doesn't feel like a textbook. HJ goes over the history behind the language, not just the rules of the language. Which makes it easier to relate to.

A great learning tool!The app is easy to navigate, it shows how to go about drawing the letters really well, and the way the author wrote the app, you don't feel like you're reading a textbook. It's got a good 'pace' for a book with so much useful info.

Great butIt really needs kanji support. Hiragana is important, but kanji is even moreso. Almost all sentences in Japanese use both kanji and hiragana characters.
