Class Description:
I have a very inquisitive class of 23 first grade students. They are all very intelligent and excited about learning new things. They come up with very good questions and will really benefit from challenging ways to be creative.
Position:
1st Grade Teacher
Needs:
We need more resources that will allow them to explore and share their experiences. Cameras will help them to be able to capture images that they will later be able to put words to. We also need MP3 players and headphones for center activities.
My Philosophy:
My philosophy is that to instill a desire for learning we must show our students how the information they are learning is important to them in the real world. I believe it is important to incorporate hands on learning activities and to weave together the various subjects to allow the students to see how they are related.

Why Do I Teach?:
I teach because I love learning. I love sharing what I have learned and I have a desire to help my students become life-long learners. I hope to pass on to my students a curiosity about the world around them and everything in it.
