Personal Information:
About Me:
I am a bilingual second grade teacher in Austin, Texas. I started teaching here in Austin in 2007 after completing an alternative certification program. Prior to teaching here, I taught 10th Grade World History for 7.5 years at a private high school in Monterrey, Mexico.
College and Degrees:
I have a BA in Spanish and Latin American Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. I have a teacher certificate from an alternative certification program.
Activities:
I enjoy spending time with my husband and baby daughter. I like to read in my free time and travel.
Favorite Books:
I have many favorite books. For my students I really enjoy reading them Kevin Henkes books. My personal favorite is Angela's Ashes by Frank McCourt, who I was able to meet a few years ago.
