At Elmwood Elementary School in Zion, IL, we are committed to bringing high-quality, hands-on STEM education to our students—many of whom face economic challenges. As a Title I school, we serve a diverse group of learners who deserve access to the same innovative tools used in top-tier classrooms.

We are raising $6,500 to purchase engaging, classroom-ready robotics and coding tools, including:

24 Sphero Indi Cars ($3,600 total) – one per student for a full class to explore screen-free, color-based coding and logic independently.

10 Dash & 5 Dot Robots ($2,000 total) – so students can work in pairs or small groups to develop coding, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

5 Cubelets 20-Pack Robot Kits ($900 total) – perfect for small-group exploration of engineering, design thinking, and computational logic.

These tools will help us build a strong foundation in STEM learning, sparking curiosity and confidence in science, technology, engineering, and math. They are aligned to ISTE and CSTA standards and offer hands-on opportunities for students of all learning styles and ability levels—including English Language Learners and students with special needs.
