We will explain the recovery in the backstroke.
We will demonstrate the correct style of a recovery either by someone swimming or a correct video.

We will explain that the hands go over the head and enter the water just outside the shoulders. We explain that if you visualize being on a clock the hands enter the water at 1-2 o'clack on one arm and 10-11 o'clock on the other arm.

The swimmers will do a series of backstroke drills:
Double arm pull
8 kicks on side-pull and switch sides- 8 kicks on side.

We will allow each swimmer to swim the backstroke toward the camera for video taping. After everyone has swam we will show the video and allow the swimmer to see themselves doing it right or wrong.

We will allow each swimmer to swim the backstroke away from the camera for video taping. After everyone has swam we will show the video and allow the swimmer toi see themselves doing it right or wrong.

Video taping will allow the swimmer to see if their hands are entering the water in the right position over the shoulders as explained using the clock method.

The swimmers will do a series of 25 yard swims working on correcting any errors.
