DESCRIPTION: I currently teach 28 fourth graders in an inclusion setting. I enjoy using many types of technology in my classroom including: Laptops, desktop computers, Promethean Board, Activstudio software, webcam, NewsMaker software, Flip camera, and digital camera. I try to use our Promethean Board as much as possible, as well as teaching my students how to create and edit videos and pictures.
This lesson plan will allow me and other teachers to increase student proficiency in technology as well as teaching Science curriculum in a fun, safe, and meaningful way!
OBJECTIVES: ~ Students will perform various experiments on Promethean Board. ~ Students will identify and use stages of inquiry process.
PROCEDURES: 1. Teacher will instruct students on use of Promethean or other whiteboard and allow students time to practice. 2. Teacher will demonstrate use of Science Simulations 3 (SS3) and Inquiry Process. 3. Teacher will identify Science objectives and allow students to collaboratively create science experiments on whiteboard.
ASSESSMENT: Teacher will view student records of simulations
