For this lesson, I would first create an interactive powerpoint presentation. This presentation would be designed with "clickable" buttons and array of slides. The opening screen of the presentation would have the title "Rhyming Word-Match Up" and an arrow in the lower right-hand corner for the students to click on. Upon clicking on the arrow the students would be moved to the next screen of the presentation. This screen would have a variety of animal pictures with the animals names written underneath. There would also be a question at the top asking the children about rhyming. For example, "What word rhymes with cat?" the child would then have the option of clicking on different pictures like dog, mouse, and bat. If the child clicks on the bat picture they will move onto a screen reading "Great Job, You Got It Right!". If the child were to click on the wrong picture, dog, for example the child would get a screen that says, "Oh no, try that one again.". There would be approximately five different rhyming questions for the children to answer correctly.
For children that are well rehearsed with rhyming words I would provide additional interactive powerpoints so they could move while the other students finished with the first one. The students would be give approximately twenty minutes to work on these activities.

The objective of this lesson is to determine how well students know there rhyming words. Our focus is preparing children for Kindergarten so this activity would be helpful in ensuring that students are prepared. This activity also allows the students to develop greater computer skills as they become more familiarized with the basic operations of the system.
