This project will include the preparation for a grade level project. Each of the 6 first grade classes will study one continent. In May, we will present our learning to our families and community by:
1) Each class will study one continent.
2) Each room will show what they learned about their continent by filling each classroom with maps, symbols and realia.
3) Families and students will walk through each classroom with passports that are stamped in each room.
4) The 1st grade team will put on an evening presentation for the families and community with songs, dances and symbols showing what they have learned about the continents.
5) Each class will use what they have learned about “their” continent to the other 1st grade classes and their families.
6) The DVD being produced in this project

Students will discuss and decide what activities to photograph/video tape through out the year. Student will help in the decision making of the presentation by selecting appropriate photos and clips, helping to write captions and previewing the final product at several stages throughout the year.
