Objective: Students will be able to learn about Columbus day on the interactive whiteboard.

Materials: SMARTboard interactive whiteboard, media cart

Procedure: The teacher will hook up the SMARTboard interactive whiteboard to the laptop and projector. Then the teacher will go to the following educational websites about Columbus day concepts:

Columbus and the Big Surprise Discover Christopher's big surprise as we learn about Columbus Day. Audio is available.
Animated film on Columbus Day. Brainpop Jr. great Columbus day video, associated game, quizzes, and activities.

Evaluation: Students will interact with the SMARTboard with minimal adult assistance.
