• This month the fourth grade teachers are working on owls for science. Last week, in library, students researched questions on a specific owl. This week I will introduce Microsoft Publisher/Powerpoint to students and they will start adding in their information.

With the PowerPoint they incorporate their research into 10 slides:

Breeding
Habitat/Distribution
InterestingFacts

With the brochure in Microsoft Publisher they put the above information in a 3 panel, 2 sided, brochure

Comments
I am a Library Media Specialist and I try to collaborate with the teachers and incroporate technology into what they are doing in the classroom. I am constantly scouring websites for ideas that I can pass on the to students
Cross-Curriculum Ideas
The powerpoint and brochure can be completed by any grade level. I just finished teaching first grade. I just incorporate what they are learning.
