School: Winneconne Elementary School, Winneconne, WI
Planned By: Kara Riley
Original Author: Kara Riley, Winneconne
Each studuent will read a chapter book of their choice, at their appropriate reading level. Students will write a commercial for their book. The commercial will include the setting, problem, and important events from the story. It will also include reasons why someone else should read the book.

After the written commercial is prepared, students will use the flip video camera to record their commercials, save them on a jump drive, and use the editing tools to add a title and author. We will then upload the commercials to a podcasting site.

Students will be able to view each other's podcasts using an iPod Touch device.
Cross-Curriculum Ideas
Once students understand how to create a podcast video, we will use them to create World War II journals while studying the effects of WWII on our state.
