Day 1- The class will brainstorm and make a list of verbs, adjectives and nouns. Students will write these words in their journals to use later in the week to help them write their sentences.

Day 2- Students will take out their list of words and start to write their rough draft. An example: My name is Emily Rodriguez I am 7 years old. At recess I love jump rope with my cool friends. After school I like to eat fresh, red strawberries for snack. I have a dog he is brown and white and likes to bark.

Day 3-Students draw pictures to go with their sentences. I then help the students proofread and edit their sentences and drawings.

Day 4- As a class I will demonstrate how to use and navigate our new clip art station on our classrooms's smart board. Students will then start to type their sentences and add their clipart on the computer. I will observe and guide students when needed.

Day 5- Students will print out their pages and I will laminate and bind into our classroom book then read to the class. I will also make copies of the book for each student to take home and share with their families.
