School: Frenchtown Elementary School, Frenchtown, MT
Planned By: Niki Evans
Original Author: Niki Evans, Frenchtown
Week 1: Pull the poetry books from the shelves of the library. Allow students time to browse through the books and read poems aloud to the class.

Week 2: Students will chose a poem and write a plan of action for acting out the poem as well as their plan for filming. Students are not allowed to read the poem from the book. They may use props. One person in their group will be filming.

Week 3: Practice acting out the poem and filming it. This is good practice in using the Flip cameras. There are many retakes. Students reveiw their poetry scene and collaborate with their team on ideas for improvement. When students are happy with the outcome of their project, we load it to the computer, add titles and credits.

Week 4: Share their project with the class using the LCD or Smart Board. Peer evaluation both for positive and constructive criticism is given at this time.
