Students pick an issue that plagues Asia or Africa that we have gone over this year. It might be something like pollution in India, starvation in Africa, etc. Students work with a partner. The teacher approves the topic. Students then use the Flip Cameras, Windows Movie Maker, the internet, and pictures to create their movie. Students spend 1-2 class periods researching their topic in the library and/or the computer. Students plan out a storyboard of what they want to include in their video. Students spend about 3 class periods creating and filming their movie. Students can use the flip cameras to interview others, take footage in the environment, and much more. Students can add still pictures from the flip cameras or the internet along with text to windows movie maker as they edit. The final steps are adding music. This can be added by someone singing or playing on camera or from a music file. In the end, students present their movies and share why they chose their topic. Students annonomously vote whether each presentation "dared them to move" and for the best ones.
