Be Prepared: The Inside Scoop on Starting Middle School

Student will work in groups to create a video to be shown to upcoming middle schoolers. The video will also be put on the school website for ohters to view. The video will be different clips from a variety of people that are in the middle school on any advice of "what every new student should know."

Students will choose who they would like to interview through the building (teachers, students; various grades, Administrators, cafeteria staff, hall monitors..) Students will then interview the people they are assigned and ask them what piece of advice would you give incoming students and what is one thing incoming students should know about the middle school. They will also take video of various places the new students should know.

Once they have gathered their video clips they will then use movie maker to create a movie for the incoming students to view. The video will be shown to incoming middle school students at their orientation. The video will then be places on the website for anyone visiting the school website can see.
