School: Allegheny Elementary Sch No 1, Duncansville, PA
Planned By: Marcia Rossman
Original Author: Marcia Rossman, Hollidaysburg
Students will:
• Use the Flip Video with computers to film, edit, and create movies.
• Develop critical thinking and writing skills.
• Develop oral and written communication skills.
• Self and peer assess in the areas of critical thinking/organization, writing, and communication.

Our video scrapbook will include various activities that occur throughout the school year. Our chosen activities include: a welcome message; Art, PE, and Music class; harvest time; Math class; recess; computer lab; field trip(s); holiday parties; lunchtime; large group instruction; library class and book exchange; school wide incentives; and a conclusion.

Each student in the class will be responsible for reporting about a chosen event. Videos of each student reporter and the activity will be recorded as an ongoing project and edited as necessary. The events will then be grouped in this format: a title slide, the student reporter video, and the videoed activity.

After each segment is completed, then the final arrangement of the video scrapbook will be chronologically compiled according to the occurrence during the school year. Finally, the entire project will be shared with classmates, parents/families, teachers, staff, administrators, and community members. This video scrapbook, Our Video Journey of Third Grade, will be a project for the students to treasure for a lifetime.
