Materials/ Resources Needed: Science Safety Contract, Rubric Common Craft Style Video

.Students will be asked to list some safety rules they believe should be followed in the science lab. They need to explain why each rule is important.
.Students will be given their safety contract. Each rule will be discussed.
.Students will get in groups of 4. Each group will be given a specific rule. They will research the danger and potential lab accidents that pertain to their safety rule.
.Students will watch : YouTube: How to Make a Common Craft Style Video (Mr. Fogle, SVSD, HMS), www.youtube.com/watch?v=oCl1zoxs3Zo
.Write an informational essay incorporating the safety rules. It is important to show the correct & incorrect ways to use these rule within the science lab. (This piece of the project will be done in language arts by the 7th grade Language Arts Teacher. These will be done on the computer through a forum)
