Science is full of mysterious relationships. History has relevance to our current lives. During this school year you have been given the keys to learning, yet much of the information is still a mystery to your classmates. Your mission is to unlock these mysteries and teach your classmates through a 5 minute movie. The movies will be broadcast for all parents to see during Open House.
There are many theme options available to you. You could model a Bill Nye type of show. News broadcasts are also possible. You are limited only by your creativity. Regardless of your background theme, your standard (with its sub standards) must be presented as an everyday experience. DO NOT SIMPLY WALK YOUR AUDIENCE THROUGH AN ORDINARY LAB EXPERIMENT OR A HISTORY LECTURE! Your mission is to teach your classmates in terms they would use in everyday language and examples. In addition to your movie, you must provide a playbill (like one you would receive when attending a play) that will include a title page, all participants’ jobs, accolades, and a description of your storyline that identifies where each portion of the standard is presented.
Your group will have time to prepare your production in your Language Arts class provided your group stays focused on the project. Anyone found off task will be removed from the group and given an alternate, individual assignment.
Labor is divided equally amongst group members. The movie length is 5-8 minutes. Before you can produce your movie you must finish a storyline, script, and rehearsals with props and costumes. You must also have your lines memorized before filming begins.
In order to accomplish the task at hand your group will need to share the workload. When selecting a person for each job, it is wise to consider what strengths each member of the group possesses. It is just as important the work is shared equally amongst the members of the group.
The jobs are as follows:
Producer- this is the main player in the film making. S/he will oversee each project from conception to completion. The producer has the ultimate say on the final product. ________________________
Director- has overall responsibility for the look, sound and style of a film. His/her job starts once they receive the script. ________________________
Costume designer- is responsible for the design and creation of costumes. ________________________

Film Editor- is responsible for assembling the final product from the camera footage, dialogue, sound effects and graphics. _____________________ ________________________ <br>Writers-develop script, dialogue and stage direction. _____________________ ________________________ _____________________ ________________________
