Students will work with a partner for this activity. First the pair will pick a copy of their favorite fairy tale. Second partners will read the story to theirselves. Next the group will take turns reading the story aloud to each other. This should be done multiple times to build fluency. The teacher may also model reading the story if a pair is struggling. Finally as students feel confident with their abilty to read aloud the pair will use a Flip Video camera to record each other. The students will be encouraged to wear costumes or props. Videos should be shared with the class, school, and parents to build ownership.
Materials: Flip Video, CDs and DVDs
