The library is a fun place to come get books, read, and find out information. This year you will be coming to the library often. Sometimes you will come to get books and sometimes you will come so that we can do an activity together. Today we are going to start out reading a book called “I Took my Frog to the Library.” (Read a book related to library behavior/rules.)

Read “I Took my Frog to the Library”
Bridgett took all her animals to the library, but then the librarian told her that she had to leave them at home next time. Bridgett had to follow the rules, and we have rules in this library, too. Now we are going to talk about those rules.

Discuss library rules and behaviors.

Break students into small groups, give each group a different "behavior," some will be good and some will be bad. Each group should work together to develop a skit talking or showing the behavior. Within each group there should be a director, camera man, and actors. When the groups are ready, film the children acting out their skit.

The commercials can then be compiled and aired over the broadcast during the morning news (if available).
