Each class period is 50 minutes long.
Students will work in groups of 2-3
Day 1- Teacher will discuss appropriate use of powerpoint and show example of appropriate powerpoint to introduce and explain project. Students will complete think-pair-share activity to brainstrom ideas of sports and the shoes required for that sport. Students research the sport they have chosen to find out the motions required in that sport and also the materials and properties of the shoe for that sport. Students record information on worksheets provided or graphic organizer of their choice.
Day 2- 4 Students will create their prototype using given materials. Students will complete exit slip at end of each day telling their progress and what they learned.
Day 5- Students will create a media presentation using powerpoint, imovie, etc.
Day 6 -7 Students will present their prototype to class.

This is a fun lesson that is easy and inexpensive.

This is a great lesson to do with science and math classes.
Materials: Short Throw Projectors, Computer Accessories, Internet Services
