Students in my classroom are setting goals and working on these goals both at home and at school. I have found it very difficult to hold them accountable for their practicing here at school and doing it in the most effective way possible.

We are beginning the process of introducing Ipads to our students and integrating technology across the curriculum.

Using the iTalk app students will be able to practice and be held accountable for practicing their sight words.

I will begin by modeling the appropriate use of the iPad and where to find the particular app. I will let each student turn the Ipad on and find the app.

Next I will model how to enter our name and record us saying our sight words. Again, each student will practice this.

Finally, small groups will practice entering their name, recording their sight words and passing the iPad to the next child.

This lesson will get students excited about using technology as well as helping them achieve their goal
