Each student will create a documentary movie about another classmate. They will divide into teams or a group three if needed and will have to use their digital cameras to take pictures and movies of their classmate during the day as well as after school if possible. This project will allow students to learn more about one another, since some of the students come from other towns, ethnic groups, and some from military families. This project will be more beneficial than writing an interview about another classmate by making it a fun project by using technology and digital cameras. The student can use movie maker or the online program animoto.com to create a movie about the classmate. Then the class will combine all the movies into a class motion picture documentary about their class.

Learning Objectives:
The Students will learn about Digital Citizenship and the appropriate use of cameras and film.
The student will describe classmate.
The student will gather information about their classmate.
The student will learn more about his or her classmate's background.
The student will write a small paragraph about their classmate.
The student will organize the pictures of his or her classmate and make a movie.

Materials:
Digital cameras
PC or Laptop
Internet
Movie Maker program or online program animoto.com

Procedure
The student's history will include:
- The place of birth
- The students' activities in and out of school.
- Any other interests or relevant information.
- Photo of student
- Photos of students' family

Lesson Outline

Lesson:
1. The student will be Introduce to the project
2. The student will research the other team member.
3. The student will research about the classmate member’s family, friends, pets etc.
4. Write a paragraph about each photo or video

The student will:
a. Create a folder on the hard drive school folder
b. Create a folder with all images
c. Define the program that the student will use to make the movie by using windows movie maker or the animoto website
d. Discuss with the teacher how they plan to use their digital photos.
e. The student will create and edit the movie using the program he or she picked.

Final Project:
All final videos will be combined into one large documentary about the class. Students will film in class additional segments that will introduce students, teachers, areas of the school and interviews that will introduce each student.
