Using a readers theater play called the Order of Operations Dilemma the students will rehearse, act out, and record on video. In the beginning stages the students will need to assign roles there are 8 speaking parts and also who will be in charge of directing, costumes, recording and props. All students should take part in creating the costumes and props however, on the day of the recording there should be a couple of students in charge of those items. They should make sure they are in the correct places and that the correct actor has the correct costume, etc.

When recording the video make sure that all actors have their lines memorized and that the play has been well rehearsed. Record the video. Once recorded, play it back for accuracy. If necessary re-record until you have achieved the results that your group was hoping for.
Cross-Curriculum Ideas
After creating the video have the students complete some math problems that involve order of operations. This will help them to remember which operations to perform first.
