The iPads are critical for getting this program up and going, as well as allowing students to take their coding skills to a higher level.

We will need iPads to be able to program the Hackaballs. They teach student coding through creative play. Hackaball is a computer in a ball that students can program using an app on an iPad. We have received the hackaballs and now we are in need of a way to run the program.

The app has a number of games already loaded and ready for wireless transfer, which is really good for an introduction to coding. Students will also be able to use these as building blocks to create their own game with the balls, for intermediate levels. Then those advanced high school students can create entirely new games with them.

This is a great hands-on activity that I would like to incorporate with my unit for Hour of Code, Radius through EverFi. The iPads can be used in other class projects as well throughout the year.
