These Chromebooks will enable students in my class to have a 1:1 ratio of students to technology in my classroom. This will enable me to more effectively differentiate reading and writing lessons. Students are currently researching career and college options for their future as part of a greater unit centered around a focus on their futures, both in high school and beyond. These Chromebooks will also be used to connect subjects from other classes in our middle school such as social studies, math, and science. Our teacher team works to integrate our lessons as much as possible, and students are constantly writing and reading in these subject areas. An increase in technology would advance this much more than I currently can do without 1:1 technology. Students with learning disabilities will also use these computers to listen to stories online and use text-to-speech programs for writing.
