Step 4: Get Ready to Apply

New application window opens September 28. Deadline October 13. Do these things to get started:

• Obtain an FCC registration number. FCC CORES registration here.

• Obtain a Billed Entity Number. Visit the E-rate productivity center here.

• Register with SAM.gov to receive program funding. It takes a week.
• Create an EPC account for your school. Call (800) 234-9781.
• Watch the tutorial on filling out your Form 471
