Simple and informativeExactly what you would find in more expensive books. This app breaks things to to a simple level in order to understand the language much easier. The addition of images helps in the visual aspect of learning.

Great for learning the kana!I have been working on learning hiragana for a while now and the test feature has really helped my learning. It is one thing to see it and try to remember and another to be able to have a quick recall. This app is definitely helping the recall!

Skips too muchThis app is okey as learning a few words as a turist. But if you try to master japanese this is horrible. Jumps over imporant stuff and over simplefies which you have to relearn. Obenkyo is better in that regard.

The first app I've given 5 starsWhat a surprising find. I read about this on a blog and decided to give it a try. This may be the first app I pay real money for. NiceWould give 5 stars if it also helped with your pronuciation. Also, when practicing writing kana, leave the outline up when in help mode. Even if I erase it. This way you don't have to repetedly hit "help on".

One big flaw: at least on my tablet, the pronunciation sound clips are cut short, usually half way through the word. Otherwise great app.
