Great when it worked...This app was fantastic when I downloaded it with lots of useful features for my calculus class. Unfortunately, for some reason now it crashes every single time I try to open it, which is very disappointing. If the devs could fix this in an update, that would be great. -- Verizon Galaxy Nexus Android 4.0.2

best substitute of Matlab/Mathematica on AndroidCurrently, this is the best program on Android for diverse math scripting. It does matrix computations in the simple efficient style of Matlab and symbolic calculations in Maple/Mathematica style. I use it to write math scripts for AP statistics. The alternatives to MathStudio are too underdeveloped: Mathmatiz and Addi both have limited plotting, MathScript is symbolic oriented and has no functionality for numerical matrix computations whatsoever (although very nice interface) and Graphing Calculator is fixed to specific scenarios (albeit sufficient for many people). One problem with MathStudio is that it often can't make up its mind whether to use symbolic or numerical value, it's kind of torn up between Matlab and Mathematica. I was doing a simple vector calculation and my phone was running out of memory after I applied log() elementwise on a list. I suspect MathStudio was trying to compute symbolically because the problem disappeared after I forced numerical calculation with the Number() function, which should have been described in the manual by the way.

Awesome, but...Where are the demo files present in the iOS version? 5 stars when you put that in. Tried to create .math files with that info, but files not text.

DimensionsThe only thing it misses that my TI-89 has is the ability to do is dimensioned calculations. At least not that I see. Great graphing and built in Laplace transform. Great for solving those pesky transfer functions.

crashhugh, mine started doing the same (i.e crashing) after I ticked the "full screen" option on my Samsung Galaxy Tab running honeycomb. I fixed it by manually removing the data file and then re installing. If you've anything you really want to keep back it up to your P.C first. Otherwise great App. very pretty 3.d plots, good symbolic solving and though I have no programming experience I have written a few scripts and got them to run.Good toy for a pure mathematician and could be really useful to an engineer.

Great for students!Since Wolfram is web only, this is the best there is right now. Had Spacetime on previous phone and adored it. The same with better touch functionality.

An outstanding appAs a graphing calculator, this is way better than the competition with a very complete set of built-in functions and easy-to-use 2D and 3D graphics. In addition you get symbolic algebra and many Mathematica-like functions. The user interface could still be improved but out is getting better all the time.

Improved keyboard makes this a 5 star app.That being said, the scripting language is crap and some of the functions are poorly implemented. This is not the "Mathematica for your cell phone" many claim it to be, but it is an excellent graphing calculator app. I look forward to future updates as they seem to be released quite regularly.
