Description

GeoTime - Simple and easy to use OFFLINE geological time scale.

Relative time (chronostratic) subdivisions of the Earth's geology versus absolute time (chronometric) in millions of years for the entire Phanerozoic.

No advertisement - simply freeware.

Some basic information on climate, animals and geology are included.

GeoTime is freeware - and will be forever. My first attempt was to have a reference on geological times for my own -
I still get lost with these Kimmeridgians and Bartonians...
If you like it, I would be grateful for suggestions, errors in the timing, bug reports or other comments you may have.

Some key features neededThe columns aren't labelled epoch, era etc. You also can't see the whole time scale in one scrollable view.

good startSimple geo time scale; glad to see this app and want to encourage its continued development. Data and info appear good/accurate. Personally I hate the color scheme; some are difficult or impossible to read (such as white text on yellow bg next to Neogene). Placement of the "evolution" icon on the main screen is confusing; makes it look like apes were present in the Proterozoic. Top row needs labels (i.e., Eon, Era, Period, Epoch). Would like a direct "info" button for each Era/Period/etc.

Very useful, well designed, and unintrusive bit of general geological reference. Thank you much, Sir.

Color needs to be better. Hard to read outside with white text. Should consider black text.
