Students work in groups of four or five to cover a major battle from WWII as on-scene reports, interviewees, and news anchors.

Group Members and Roles:
Anchor: Writes and reports on the lead story (the battle).
Co-Anchor: Writes and reports on the secondary story (issues at home).
On Scene Reporter: Writes and reports on a human-interest story. Also conducts an on scene interview.
Interviewee: Acts as the subject of the human-interest story is interviewed by the reporter.

Group Requirements:

• Minimum of 5-8 minutes long.
• Must be well researched, using proper attire, equipment, and props. (Example: News anchors should be in a “studio-like setting,” while reporters should be “on the scene.”
• Use correct/appropriate language and content (Remember the School Code of Conduct).
• Word of advice: Remember to be thorough in giving the correct information, but also straight to the point and concise. Everyone should have a job to do. BE PROFESSIONAL.

Create a PROPAGANDA POSTER regarding some aspect of WWII. This poster will be used in your presentation. It can be a propaganda poster for any country involved in the war (i.e. Japan, Germany, U.S.S.R, Great Britain, America):
• One (1) regular sized poster board
• Can be black and white or color
• Must have a clear message
• Typical propaganda poster messages: “Join the war effort,” “Women working,” “Nazi,” “Communist,” “Conserve Energy/Resources.”

Some students like to "act out" portions of the battle, for example, students running up a beach coast representing the Battle of D-Day. This is acceptable only if students are not mocking the battles in a negative sense and are not using any weapons, even if they appear to be fake.
All the videos from the presentation are viewed as a class. The Propaganda posters are hung outside the classroom.
