1. Arrange for field trip--permission slips, buses and drivers, sponsors.
2. Preteach use of camera, note-taking
3. Preview origin of Buffalo Soldiers--(coordinate with 7th grade Texas History teacher)
4. Group students to report on varying aspects of the life of a Buffalo Soldier--make plan to hand off camera. Students should also brainstorm questions and facts to investigate.
5. After field trip, discuss and break into groups.
6. Download pictures to server and break into folders for students to access.
7. Students present rough draft/plan for presentation.
8. 2-4 days lab time to work on projects.
9. Groups present projects.
10. Burn presentations to CDs for students to keep.
