I will be using a Hovercam Mini 5 document camera to record some lessons in my classroom to allow students the time to watch them at home. The idea behind this is that students will be able to listen and watch lessons at home on their own time and then come to class ready for a discussion or activity. This allows for more time for detailed projects and discussion in class. An example of a lesson that I would flip would be the Boston Massacre. The students would watch an informative video giving the causes and effects of the Boston Massacre. Then the next day in class they would be given two different pictures of the Boston Massacre, one from the British point of view the other from the Colonist. They would be asked based on their knowledge which one is a more accurate picture and why. We then would have a class discussion on what and why are there differences and similarities in the pictures. From there I would have the students discuss what their action would be if they were the King of England.
This is one example of many lessons that I could do with the Hovercam Mini 5 Document camera.
